TENSA Equipment was established in 2009 to provide a line of equipment and equipment services for the offshore oil and gas industry.

The founder of TENSA, Derick Markwell was a founder of ICON Engineering and developed their line of conductor tensioners and conductor clamps. Derick was once a structural engineer and has more offshore experience on construction and drilling work over the last 25 years than he likes to remember. The TENSA products reflect sound theoretical design combined with the simplicity and robustness needed to allow equipment to continue to function in the environment of hard knocks. This culture at TENSA is reflected in all of our new designs.

TENSA provides complete engineered solutions for the drilling and construction market. We understand the requirements and provide products which can be proved to work by analysis and testing. We then provide technical support for the application to ensure that the equipment does what it is intended.

TENSA has a sister company Atlas EPM (Engineering and Project Management) which specializes in multi-disciplined engineering. These services are available to support the TENSA products and the applications where they will be used.

TENSA is based in Perth, Western Australia but focuses its services throughout Australia and South East Asia. Services can be provided in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand through partner companies.
